The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) conducted their annual winter testing at Sebring International raceway February 5-9. Effort Racing, a new team formed at the end of the 2011 season and coming off a one race deal with a victory at Road Atlanta, acquired a 2012 Porsche GT3 Cup car for a full season of competition in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Platinum Series (GT3P). Moton – USA worked with the team driver Mike Mills to develop the new car over the winter test at Sebring.
Approximately 2 weeks before the IMSA winter test days at Sebring, Moton – USA was contacted by Effort Racing for a set of Motorsport triple adjustable dampers. Moton delivered and the car rolled out of the trailer ready for a few days of extensive testing and data collection before the first race on March 17th at Sebring.
Mills was among the fastest of all of the GT3P series cars. A great start! After refinements are made, the car will head back out for additional testing at MSR-Houston (where Mills is the Director of Operations) prior to the first race weekend. Moton is looking forward to working with the entire Effort Racing team during the 2012 season.
